Get a Taste of Greek Culture at Plymouth Church’s Annual Festival

The A Taste of Greece Cultural Festival returns this weekend to the Nativity of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, 39851 West Five Mile Road in Plymouth.

The event, now in its 14th year, highlights the church and Greek culture. It includes performances of Greek dancing and music and a marketplace featuring Greek-themed jewelry, clothing and art. A Greek Taverna serves adult beverages, including ouzo slushes and Greek wine.

Members of the church do all the cooking for the festival, which drew more than 7,000 people last year. Popular dishes include spinach pie (Spanakopita), chicken and pork kebabs, gyros and flaming cheese. Read More via Freep.
